TLC Home |

The TLC Home is a traditional living home where women are committed to the process of restoring their lives with God's help. We want women to join us who have demonstrated a desire to become productive, Godly women, able to contribute to their families, churches, and communities. we want to provide them a safe traditional living environment. They will be loved and encouraged to gain new skills, new personal insights, and a new and glowing relationship with God, resulting in the necessary commitment to be what god intends. As the path ahead will not always be an easy one, we want to help provide them a new family who will support them in their effort. The women may stay up to two years in the home, as long as they are progressing. First they become accustomed to the free world, developing life skills in the home through various classes and opportunities at the Center and then either taking vocational classes, GED classes or attending college to prepare for a vocation that will provide for themselves and their families. Upon gaining those skills they will be able to seek employment and gradually take on more responsibility to the point they feel they can successfully live independently on their own to meet their family's needs. |

Each woman will find at the TLC Home:1) A time to get to know God better and to gain the assurance that He has a plan for their life that is greater than they can imagine. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 2) A time to build relations with a new support family. They can relate to what the others are going through because many of the residents have been in jail or prison also. Therefore, they will be loved unconditionally, but will still be held responsible as a part of the family. 3) A time to establish a new constructive lifestyle. In the home each woman will acquire new skills. They will learn how to budget their time and money. Values and attitudes will change. What each women learns here is designed to help her live successfully in an imperfect society. |
